FAQ

Your Questions Answered

Can AutoStrikr find my content if it's been modified?
Yes. Our matching technology makes a fingerprint of your content and can identify content even when it has been cropped, resized, re-compressed, watermarked, or otherwise modified. Content that qualifies as fair use is not targeted for removal.
How quickly does scanning begin?
Scanning typically begins within minutes of uploading your content. Large uploads may require additional processing time, but most assets enter the monitoring system shortly after submission.
What happens when AutoStrikr finds infringing content?
We collect evidence, identify the responsible platform or website, generate and send takedown notices, and track the case through resolution. If initial notices are ignored, we escalate to hosting providers, content delivery networks, registrars, and other responsible parties as appropriate.
What if my content is re-uploaded after removal?
AutoStrikr continuously monitors for re-uploads. When previously removed content reappears on a tracked domain, we automatically generate follow-up notices and continue the escalation process without requiring you to start a new case.
What evidence do you collect?
Each detection includes a timestamped URL, screenshots, ownership verification data, and a record of all notices and responses. This documentation creates a complete audit trail suitable for platform disputes, legal review, and further enforcement efforts.
What counts as a processed domain?
A processed domain includes detection, evidence collection, notice generation, escalation efforts, follow-up communications, and resolution tracking. Re-uploads on the same domain within 30 days of a successful removal are handled at no additional charge.
What types of content can I protect?
AutoStrikr supports images, videos, documents, and other common digital file formats. Additional file types may be supported as the platform expands.
Does AutoStrikr work on websites outside the United States?
Yes. Copyright infringement is a global issue, and our escalation process is designed to work internationally. Depending on the jurisdiction and infrastructure involved, we may pursue action through website operators, hosting providers, content delivery networks, search engines, payment processors, or domain registrars.
What happens if a website refuses to comply?
When voluntary compliance fails, we continue escalating through available channels and document every action taken. If a case remains unresolved, you receive a detailed report containing evidence, notice history, and escalation records that can be used for further enforcement or legal action.
How successful are takedown requests?
Results vary depending on the platform, jurisdiction, and responsiveness of the infringing party. Most legitimate platforms and hosting providers comply with properly documented infringement notices, while AutoStrikr's escalation process is designed to maximize removal rates when initial requests are ignored.
Is my uploaded content secure?
Yes. Uploaded files are stored securely and are used only to generate fingerprints and verify ownership. Your original content is never published, or exposed as part of the monitoring process.
